This release is noteworthy both for its enlightening Choke of virtually unknown repertoire and for the enthusiastic and elegantly vervy performances offered by Franz Hauk and the Georgian Chamber Orchestra under Markus Poschner. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only recording extant of the Paer and Schneider concertos and of the two Langlais pieces.
